Manuscripts of each contribution will be published in the proceedings which will be distributed at the beginning of the Workshop. The proceedings volume (DECHEMA Monograph Vol. 138) will also be available for sale under ISBN 3-527-10232-9.
Participants from a number of countries may need an entry visa for the Federal Republic of Germany. It is recommended that this be applied for well in advance of the Workshop. If a formal invitation letter is needed please contact the Congress Office at DECHEMA e.V. in good time.
We recommend the local restaurants in the vicinity of Universität Hamburg; a list will be available at the registration desk.
-by train:
Hamburg is easily accessible by train and boasts four train stations in addition to the main train station (Kirchenallee), those being Altona, Dammtor, Bergedorf and Harburg. Both InterCity (IC) and InterCityExpress (ICE) trains stop at all five stations. The train station to Universität Hamburg is “Dammtor“.
- by car:
If you travel by car, Hamburg is very easy to reach. Lying centered between the motorways A7 (North/South tangent), A1 (Bremen-Lübeck), A24 (Berlin-Hamburg) and the A23 (from Heide).
- by plane:
The Hamburg Airport is a mere eight km outside town (http://www.ham.airport.de). Connections Airport – City (ca. 8 km):

There are taxi-ranks in front of the Terminals 1 and 4. A ride into the city-center costs about EUR 20.00.
