HOW TO REACH THE CONFERENCE VENUE
By car
-from Hamburg: A 10 (Berliner Ring)Exit (Ausfahrt) PotsdamNord

-The quickest way to find the Congress-Venue when you are inPotsdam, is to follow the green signs "Hotelroute" or "Sanssouci".
The Hotel is situated at the B 2 to Berlin-Spandau.

- take the Bus X9 to Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten (approx. 15 minutes)
-transfer into Regional-Express, direction Brandenburg Hauptbahnhof or Suburban Train S7, direction Potsdam Hauptbahnhof

-duration approximately 45 minutes (total)

- take the Bus 109 to Bahnhof Charlottenburg (approx. 20 minutes)

PUBLICATIONS
A list of participants who have registered by August 13, 2006 will be available at the conference secretariat. he book of abstracts will be distributed at the beginning of the symposium.
A special issue of Chemical Engineering Science (CES) containing selected manuscripts of symposium papers (oral and poster) will be published in spring 2007. This volume is included in the early and regular conference tickets and will be mailed directly to participants by the publisher. This volume is not included in student tickets.
VISA FORMALITIES
Participants from a number of countries may need an entry visa for the Federal Republic of Germany. It is recommended that this should be applied for well in advance of the symposium. If a formal invitation letter is needed please contact the conference office at DECHEMA e.V. in good time.

CONFERENCE VENUE
Since 1991 Berlin has been the undivided capital of Germany.For many years Berlin, and especially the Brandenburg Gate, was a symbol of the partition of Germany and of the hope that the country would one day be reunited in peace and freedom. It is presently developing into a metropolis of science and culture, media and business. It is a city that never sleeps.
Potsdam, the gateway to Berlin, with its unique situation on an island, its three hundred year old castles and parks offers a wide variety of cultural highlights, in particular the world famous Palace of Sanssouci, situated at its heart. This former residence of the Kings of Prussia is complemented by the historical Weavers Quarter, Dutch Quarter and a Russian Colony. The historical place of the Potsdam Conference, 
Cecilienhof, where Truman, Churchill and Stalin decided on the fate of the World War II, is just a walk away from the Symposium venue.
The meeting will take place at the Dorint Hotel Sanssouci, Potsdam, which offers excellent conference facilities. The hotel is only a few minutes away from shopping areas in Potsdam and half an hour away from the centre of Berlin. Special room rates will be available for participants.
