IOLITEC is an innovative, dynamic and goal-oriented company whose activities go far beyond the production and sale of ionic liquids. Located at Heilbronn/Germany and Tuscaloosa/USA, we use state-of-the-art production technologies to manufacture our standard products, which include 280 ionic liquids, 40 key intermediates and 140 nanomaterials. These are available from grams to 25 tons. With solid experience in project management and our young and skilled management team of currently eight PhD-level chemists with different professional backgrounds, IOLITEC is in the strong position to give reliable answers and to deal with customer requests from many different sectors in a professional, efficient and goal-oriented way. Our services include consulting and feasibility studies as well as the development of marketable products and applications based on ionic liquids, nanomaterials or combination of both. With our custom synthesis and R&D-services, e.g. electrolytes for DSSCs or batteries, we enable our customers to develop novel technologies.

The complete range of ionic liquids, selected nanomaterials, such as metals, -oxides, -nitrides and -carbides, and carbon-based nanoparticles are available in high-end qualities at competitive prices. Many of our nanomaterials are available as powders and dispersions or slurries in water or common organic solvents or can be prepared on customer's request.


IOLITEC ist ein innovatives, dynamisches und zielorientiertes Unternehmen, dessen Aktivitäten weit über die Produktion und Vermarktung von ionischen Flüssigkeiten hinausgehen. Neben einer sich ständig vergrößernden Standardproduktpalette von derzeit etwa 280 ionischen Flüssigkeiten für verschiedenste Zwecke (z.B. Synthese, Katalyse, Analytik, Galvanik, Wärme- und Kältetechnik, Biotechnologie, Sensortechnik) sowie etwa 40 Zwischenprodukten und 140 Nanomaterialien, die sowohl in Gramm- als auch in Multikilogramm- und Tonnen-Mengen vertrieben werden, bietet IOLITEC ebenfalls F&E-Dienstleistungen und Auftragssynthesen im Bereich ionischer Flüssigkeiten und Dispergierung von Nanopartikeln in Wasser und org. Lösemitteln an. An seinen Standorten in Tuscaloosa/USA und Heilbronn verfügt IOLITEC über mehr als 750 m² Produktionsflächen und Entwicklungslabors. Mit mehrjähriger Erfahrung im Projektmanagement und einem jungen, starken Führungsteam von derzeit acht promovierten Chemikern mit unterschiedlichem fachlichen Hintergrund ist IOLITEC in der Lage, Anfragen und Kundenaufträge aus ganz unterschiedlichen Bereichen professionell, effizient und zielorientiert zu bearbeiten und wissenschaftlich fundierte Lösungen anzubieten.

Das Dienstleistungsangebot reicht dabei von der Beratung über Machbarkeitsstudien bis hin zur Entwicklung marktfähiger Anwendungen, die auf ionischen Flüssigkeiten, der Nanotechnologie oder der Kombination beider Technologien basieren.
