City of Bamberg

Bamberg is a city with an original character and a very special atmosphere. 1000 years of history are united in an Old Town that is an outstanding cultural and architectural highlight in Germany.

The many faces of this UNESCO World Heritage City are perhaps what fascinate visitors the most. The „City on the Hills“ represents Franconia‘s answer to Rome, the „Island City“ is its pulsating heart. Bamberg has been an „episcopal town“ for a thousand years, whilst the „shopping town“ invites you to browse through the many modern and trendy shops in an historical setting.

Beside – Bamberg is also very famous as so-called “secret capital of beer”! Nine breweries within the town boundaries produce more
than 50 different beers, all of which are just waiting to be tasted!
