Lahnstein

ICCMR-6 will be held in Lahnstein, a romantic small town with 20,000 inhabitants situated in the beautiful Rhine Valley half way between the conurbations of the Rhine, Main and Ruhr (ca. 100 km). Lahnstein lies at the mouth of the River Lahn on the right bank of the Rhine close to Koblenz. It is surrounded by picturesque landscape, riverside meadows, historic castles and romantic wine-growing villages. The Rhine Valley ("Valley of the Loreley") is one of the main touristic regions in Germany and particularly famous for its wine. Lahnstein can be reached conveniently from Frankfurt and Cologne international airports by intercity train every hour with a stop in Koblenz, only 7 km away from Lahnstein.

Location

The conference will be held in the Dorint Hotel Rhein-Lahn on top of a wooded hill above the town of Lahnstein. The 4-star hotel has a friendly atmosphere and is perfect for small to medium size meetings with up to 400 participants. Moreover, the short distance of 4 km to the city centre of Lahnstein provides ample opportunities to enjoy the local gastronomy.

Further information can be obtained at the website http://dorint.de/rhein-lahn/uk/home.html or from the tourist offices in Lahnstein (www.lahnstein.de) and Koblenz (www.koblenz.de).
