In commemoration of Professor Malcolm Lilly, one of the pioneers of biochemical engineering, the ESBES Board in 2000 decided to introduce an award to be presented to a promising young scientist or engineer working in the field of biochemical engineering during the ESBES symposium: the Malcolm Lilly Award.
This is the 6th symposium at which the award will be offered to PhD students and postdocs.
The following list shows the candidates which have been selected to present an oral lecture in a special session on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. This prestigious award comes with a 2,000 US Dollar prize. The award ceremony will take place at the closing session of the conference.
