How to reach Stuttgart

Arrival by plane:

Stuttgart Airport - some 400 starts and landings a day and 62 airlines which offer flights to 110 destinations in 33 countries.

Excellent traffic connections from Stuttgart airport:

Those participants who arrive at Stuttgart airport can go downtown via taxi (about 20-30 €) or via S(ubway)-Bahn, which is leaving from underground railway station Stuttgart airport in Terminal 1 to Stuttgart main station in 25 minutes (about 3 € at the ticket machine).
The Autobahn A8, which directly passes by the airport, makes a simple arrival at the airport possible for all passengers.

Participants arriving Germany at Frankfurt Airport should consider to go to Stuttgart main station via InterCity Express (ICE) high speed train (about 90 min). Frankfurt airport has an underground railway station. From here, ICE trains depart to Stuttgart every hour or less. From Stuttgart main station it is a only a 5-10 min walk to the Haus der Wirtschaft and to the most hotels. Some airlines offer a train connection (from Frankfurt to Stuttgart) instead of air connection. In this case there is a flight number (!) for the railway connection (please ask your local travel agent). This is cheaper than purchase of a separate railway ticket.

Junction of the international north-south and east-west stretches. Through the rail network (ICE, IC; InterRegio), Stuttgart is directly connected with 13 European capitals.

Leave the main station direction Königsstraße and follow the shopping street about 500 meters. Pass the Königsbau on the Schlossplatz and turn right directly after the bookshop. From there the green cupola of the "Haus der Wirtschaft" is already in sight. After 100 meters please cross the Theodor-Heuss-Straße to "Haus der Wirtschaft"
