Scientific progress in the field of polymer reaction engineering (PRE), and by this the pro-gramme of this Workshop, is propelled by influences from a wide variety of academic disci-plines, trade and industry as well as societal needs. Emerging new concepts and promising developments are given special attention. Technologies from other fields of chemical engineer-ing and industrial solutions in process and product development are discussed from a superior perspective.

New catalysts and catalytic polymerization processes, controlled radical polymerization, high-throughput and micro technologies, new reactor and process technologies, intensified proc-esses, span a wide range of production technologies. New environmentally benign polymeri-zation processes meet societal as well as economical needs. Polymer thermodynamics, proc-ess analytics, modelling and process control enable development and application of these technologies. Nanotechnologies bring new and extended performance characteristics to poly-meric materials.

The Scientific Committee cordially welcomes you to attend this International Workshop in Hamburg.

Proceedings of the Workshop will be published in the series “Macromolecular Symposia”. A copy of the proceedings is part of the conference fees of each regular attendant. The proceed-ings will be published and shipped to the attendants some months after the workshop.
